Hi. Some months back posted a thread for help on how to root my infinix hot 4 pro x556-H371A-N171229v209, which was successful. Some few days back I saw an upgrade alert for my device, due to erros with apps on this version of the device I restored an early backup, and then did the firmware update. So the build version slightly changed tox556-H371A-N180417v213.
So my question is, I have the patched recovery and boot from the early version, can I still use it on the upgrade?
Thanks

there's a bigger chance that it won't work
instead make a fresh new firmware dump then reroot using magisk at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html

Yes I do.
Thanks alot though, i've got root now.
I patched the boot with magisk, then with the TWRP from the late version that was ported for me from hovatek I used to install SuperSU zip. And there we go.
Thankz
