Hi everyone,
I tried to root my wiko u feel lite using the guide from /thread-15271.html (can't post the link since my account is too recent, just paste at the end of the website's url)
but I can't get it to work. (I searched a bit on the forums but couldn't find anything that could help me)
I followed every steps but I always end up in the same situation : the TWRP is working but I just can't boot the phone anymore, and he's soft bricked.
I have the wiko's executable to reinstall the system, but of course whenever I do that, that also wipe the recovery.
So I don't know what to do, and here I am, asking for your help.

Thank you in advance.

You first need to unbrick your phone.
Once that's done, root using Magisk @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html

Followed the guide you sent me, my phone is booting fine but according to root checker it isn't root. Any idea what I might have done wrong ?
I flashed it through fastboot by the way.

Got the boot.img from the thread /thread-9488-post-55665.html (don't know what's the difference between U Feel Lite and U Feel Lite - alt, but I took the first one)
And I used an application who told me my chipset was MT6735.

that's not going to work, you'll need to the get the boot.img for your build.

Why not use the boot.img from the firmware you used to unbrick your phone?

Why not use the boot.img from the firmware you used to unbrick your phone?

It's an executable, I have no idea how to get the boot.img from it.
So should I flash it using the files from your link ?
Or maybe there's a way to extract the boot.img ?

dump firmware in scatter file format using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
if successful, you will get boot.bin from with the dump folder. rename it to boot.img

Did as asked, got a boot.img with the same size. When I was going to patch it, I noticed in magisk manager that the boot.img was already installed... Went to check root checker and it was indeed rooted. I'm pretty mad for my mistake, since it seems all it needed was a restart... Really sorry for the time waste :/.
Now I have two last question : can I update my phone without risking loosing the root ? I think it's safe, but I want to be sure. Also, should I change the thread since it's resolved ?
Thank you very much for your help and have a good day.
