Just in case you currently don't have access to a PC then I advice you search for a custom ROM that's built for your device model just to boot it up. It may probably work.

he will still need a PC to create flashable zip

custom rom as @excellentandroid suggested might work but again he might encounter bugs he won't like and then want to revert back to stock

in the end, all still revolves round getting a PC

Bugs can be fixed without a PC. I personally use PC only for the sake of miracle box and sp flash tool. With Android Image Studio, Zarchiver, ES File Explorer, You can port ROMs and create flashable zip.

(24-07-2018, 11:13 PM)ExcellentAndroid I advice every android root user to first make a backup before attempting anything. And don't only keep your backups in your internal storage or sd card, make "copies" of it and keep them in different places like Google drive, SD card, internal storage, PC etc... This is just an advice, next time keep that in mind.

Thanks.  made a complete backup actually. Text, call logs inclusive, so I intentionally was prepared for whatever may ensue. I just didn't know how to solve the problem I created.
