Sir...@hovatek
I am a user of Lava A72 which is running on 6.0..
And with spreadtrum sc9830a chipset.....
It has no official or unofficial support in any forums or blogs.....

After some searching I found a thread in your forum.... i.e., http://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-17095.html .....

It has no detailed steps.....
And also I found a device that has same specs and twrp also available for that....
the link for that device is http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j...3-t3628048

Also I made a thread in xda regarding this....
the thread link is http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/...st77214259

My request is to port the twrp from http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j...3-t3628048 and help the users of Lava A72 to experience world of customization.......

Thanks in advance

going through the hovatek forum link you posted above,

on page 1 you'll find twrp or better still you can port twrp using our tool at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21669.html [note that touch doesnt work for your device - you could try using OTG mouse to navigate if supported by your device]

on page 5, there is an alt custom recovery [cyanogen recovery]

ensure you have stock rom for your device before making any modifications. you'll also need it in order to flash this custom recoveries

There are some apks (like Flashfire) that enable you flash zips via custom recovery. Such apks come in handy especially when touch in TWRP doesn't work. That must have been what that commenter was referring to

When you load a .pac file in Research Download tool for example, the tool unpacks the .pac file (refer to https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-6236.html) before it flashes. Once the tool unpacks the .pac, you can replace any file you wish (like stock recovery.img with custom recovery.img) before you proceed with flashing

Sir Flashfire doesnot use the Recovery to flash zips.... it uses its own method of flashing....
Since it extremely dangerous for devices that has less support... so it cannot be suggested to all devices....

and Kernel Auditor is the best option to flash zips since backups the recovery and boot as .img files so that they can be flashed with adb...
Other apps to flash zips and .img files are Root Essentials, Flashify, Rashr, ROM Toolbox.....

Sir one doubt is after unpacking .pac file can we replace any file in that or
Boot.pac is only replaced with other boot?

Thanks for your support sir

When the .pac is unpacked, you'll see several files in the folder like boot.img , recovery.img etc. If you want to replace boot then the boot you'll be copying must also be named boot.img (so it can replace the boot.img).

then after unpacking can I add custom recovery along with boot.img?

yes you can, just make sure to rename the files as they were in the original .pac file.

Yes. You can replace any file you want after the Spreadtrum tool has unpacked the .pac file
