There is an LG G4 h811 t-mobile I had to get the network working, so I decided to upgrade it first because I suspected other engineers had tampered with it.
I went from h81110?? to h81120r, and the phone died. I found out that this is usually caused by downgrade as the bootloader does not permit that. In trying to find the fix, I have found a way to get it back into download mode which involves the use of single image dump and sd card.

The problem now is that I downloaded the latest version firmware for h811 which is h81120x and is higher than the h81120r which bricked the phone and the tutorial is based on the h81110o firmware which is less than both the r and x i have now.

I want to know if I can use the o to get to download mode, then just flash the x when I am in download mode.

NOTE:1) I have tried the Qfil method and got firehose error
2)I will go ahead anyway to try before or after I get pointers
          3) I still cannot verify the difference between lg g4 ls991 and lg g4 h811  (the phone sticker under the battery says ls991, while the network antenna flex and software inside said h811)
          4) The phone is not new out of the box, it has those stickers that come with refurbished phones.

I'm guessing the single image dump you're talking about is an mmcblk0.img. If that is correct then one would need to know what version it was sourced from (o, r, x etc).
That the guide you're following uses the o variant probably means the mmcblk0 is from the o (if you obtained it from that guide) so try the o variant first to see how that goes. If it fails then you should consider flashing the x variant

mmcblk0 is a giant file containing several partitions. Its not included in the kdz

It varies with device. It runs into Gb on some.
Since You don't know which variant the mmcblk0 was extracted from, You would need to try each kdz (preferably from the highest) because flashing a version lower than that of the mmcblk0 could cause a brick (as You've discovered)
