My gionee 5001s calibration malfunctions whenever the data is ON and network signal changes from H to E. The part that press itself is the ?123/ABC key when typing or the previous page key during browsing. I found out it is a network related problem when I opened the system manager and clicked on traffic monitor, then I clicked "Calibrate", what showed up reads " please manully set the correct operators brand and provinces otherwise, it will lead to key calibration failure". But I can't set it correctly because it is written in chinese. Please help me. This same phone do not support/install google apps. Help me on both if you can,Please.

Setup Gapps using https://www.hovatek.com/blog/your-androi...asy-steps/
Try changing your network settings to WCDMA only
Share a screenshot of the "please manully set the correct operators brand....." screen

settings > mobile / cellular network > preferred network type > select the data sim then select WCDMA
does the the calibration issue also happen while the phone is connected to charge?

I suggest a change of the firmware, get the correct firmware for your build and flash it.

ensure to dump your current firmware before flashing, you can do that using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
