I already got my patched boot image from magisk but I don't know how to go about with flashing with fastboot cos I don't quite understand it and I don't want to risk bricking my phone.. I need other methods of flashing the boot image please. Thanks

You only need scatter file.
Download the scatter file for Oreo @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-20230.html then use sp flash tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-159.html to flash the boot.img.

Hope you used the boot.img for your phone's build to patch?

Yes i downloaded my full Rom from infinix mobility but when I copied the scatter and the patched boot image to a folder to flash on SP, the patched image didn't show up for flashing.

when you load the scatter file on spft, you can untick everything then manually load patched_boot.img to file location on spft by clicking the empty box under file location

OR better still, rename patched_boot.img to boot.img then copy boot.img to the same location as scatter file then load scatter file on spft. it should get loaded automatically
