[Please help] Bricked Acer Liquid Z6 t09
(15-10-2018, 05:46 PM)X3nonIn Step 3 the Chipset is MT6737M?(15-10-2018, 03:19 PM)nickless Unfortunately no.
dump firmware from your phone using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21970.html
lets know when you're done with that, you'll get a working scatter file for your phone from the dump
(15-10-2018, 06:17 PM)nickless ...
Ok done with that, attached scatter file.
(16-10-2018, 12:31 AM)nickless This is not working.
i choose "1 Start Creating Project" and it says "WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IN THIS PROJECT [1=SAVE 2=REMOVE DEFAULT=BACK]:"
if i chose option 1 or 2 it removes content of 'work' folder
If i don't start new project it error with "THERE IS NO PROJECT IN WORK FOLDER CREATE PROJECT FIRST"
if i continue starting new project the programm get stuck after "FROM WHERE YOU WANT TO GET ROM [DEFAULT=PLACE_FOLDER 0=BACK 1=FROM_DEVICE]:"
I used the zip from acer website in 'place' folder to create raw img in assayyed. replaced boot.img and system.img in previous dump and flashed all of them using sp flash tool.
Phone still does not boot.
(16-10-2018, 11:30 AM)hovatek Here's the plan.1. done - no error
1. Make a full dump of your phone's rom so we have a scatter file, system.img and boot.img
2. Extract the system.new.dat using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15855.html
3. Using the system.img and boot.img from your backup, create a project using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-20497.html (i.e stop at step 16)
4. In the WORK folder will be a system folder. Delete its contents and replace with the contents of the system folder extracted from the system.new.dat
5. Repack the rom (RAW) in assayyed so you'll have boot.img and system.img
6. Grab the system.img from the assayyed rom and boot.img from your Acer stock rom and flash using sp flash tool. If the acer rom contains other files like lk.bin, flash also

THE KITCHEN CAN BUILD IN THIS METHODS:
DAT: FASTEST METHOD DURING INSTALLING [system.new.dat]
RAW: GOOD METHOD, FLASHING RAW [system.img] TO YOUR DEVICE

(16-10-2018, 07:35 PM)nickless This is already as admin. It does not fail when chosing Build ZIP, only error at DAT and RAW. Is there a log file somewhere or debug mode so i can get more information about error?
(16-10-2018, 10:12 PM)X3nonSame error at step 4(16-10-2018, 07:35 PM)nickless This is already as admin. It does not fail when chosing Build ZIP, only error at DAT and RAW. Is there a log file somewhere or debug mode so i can get more information about error?
doubt the tool creates log file, try this modification instead
1. Make a full dump of your phone's rom so we have a scatter file, system.img and boot.img
2. Extract the system.new.dat using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15855.html
3. Copy the extracted system folder and boot.img from your backup into the WORK folder, then launch assayed. This will automatically create a project
4. Repack the rom (RAW) in assayed so you'll have boot.img and system.img
5. Grab the system.img from the assayyed rom and boot.img from your Acer stock rom and flash using sp flash tool. If the acer rom contains other files like lk.bin, flash also
take note from step 3, its different from what you tried last time
WE HAVE DETECTED SYSTEM SIZE [~0,3M]
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU DON'T CHANGE IT
BUT IF YOU A DEVELOPER AND IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING
YOU CAN EXPAND IT AS YOUR DEVICE SYSTEM SIZE

(17-10-2018, 12:03 AM)nickless Same error at step 4
Found the solution:
...
Flashed all with SP Flash tool:
- Acer logo screen gone, i only get black screen on boot
- fastboot oem unlock no longer working
- i can mount /system in recovery mode now
What next?
