Important Notice
  • Miracle Box ideally requires a hardware box / dongle. Using the setup without first connecting the hardware won't work.
  • If you've opted for the loader version (no box needed) then your antivirus might flag it as malware. Whether or not you allow it to run anyway is entirely up to you
  • You best backup the NV you wish to write only from a working phone of the same model to avoid corrupting the nvram / nvdata partitions or crashing the device
  • Its always a good idea to backup your bricked phone's rom (or the NV at least) just in case something goes wrong

Quote:In this video tutorial, I'm going to be explaining how to backup and write NV on a Mediatek Android device using Miracle box. You need your NV items to fix issues like unknown baseband, null IMEI and other NV issues. Now, for you to do this you need to have your Miracle box. I have mine here and you need to of course launch Miracle box. You need to have installed your Mediatek USB VCOM drivers. We have a guide on how to do that so you wait for the Miracle box dashboard to come up good.

Now, in Miracle box, you go to the MTK tab and then you tick NV Read and you tick Android. Now, you click the Start Button. Once you see waiting for USB port, power off the device, still with battery inside, don't hold any button then connect to the PC via a USB cord. Alright! I have detection and NVdata is being backed up. In this Window that pops up, you navigate to the location where you wish to save your NV backup and then you click on save.

Alright! So I have Done. That means my NV has been backed up. Now, to write NV, it's the same process only that you just select NV Write this time around and you still leave Android ticked then click the folder icon. Now, in this Window that pops up, you select the NV backup which you'd made from a working phone of the same model. You select the NV backup and click on Open and then click on the Start button.

Now, you power off the device, still with battery inside, don't hold any button then you connect it to the PC via USB cord. Don't forget you read from a working phone and you write to a phone that has NV issues so writing NVdata is done. Good so that's how to backup and write NV data on a Mediatek Android device using miracle box
