Firstly ,I will say thanks to u guys at hovatek, mehn u are d bomb here, cmon I don't know an adjective to describe dis forum , as damn brilliant. For long time we have been complaining of issues relating to infinix x604 twrp, so I started to dig every info about dis phone, one latest development comes after a top rank member here said something about infinix note 5 having a/b partition, though I have read d news on xda when a/b partition was first introduce on d pixel line den,I never thought it will be among d procedures oem must adhere to in d making of Android one phones, so I searched, mostly android one phones lately comes with dis partition, so I digged more and I found dis link
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-a-b-p...nt-on-xda/      on xda , pardon me if I break rules here by sharing d link, d problem of requesting for boot.img or rom dump of new updates angered me to this. Then we had issues with note 5 twrp which is still unsolved till now,I mention one thing den dat d recovery partition is embedded in boot partition den due to my observations den after flashing d twrp and patched boot in regard to d command line( fastboot boot twrp ) which doesn't effect d boot and subsequent booting a, initially dat command may affect subsequent bootings but hell no, so now dat I found d link posted above , everything became clear dat infinix did not do any magic with d recovery partition is just dat d a/b memory layout is playing us, so pls read dat link and digest it, it will give us light on how to modify d boot partition to correct the mount and right errors in d twrp,I want the twrp for dis phone to be first solved here at hovatek cos it seems there is no fully functioning twrp for this phone right now, we may extrapolate ideas from other a/b partitions phone on how they modify their boot.img since they too have no recovery partitions. Now question to senior members here,
Can I grab my boot img for my build and rename it to recovery img, den use hovatek twrp porter to port it to twrp, since it does not have a separate recovery img,
Will me grabbing dis boot img and d renaming will  not effect code lines for d booting , cos d boot code and recovery code are all in a single code now , and will it not cos mayhem in output of twrp porter if I did dat, abi make I try? Pls higher members and gurus , pls biko u are needed here ooo

It won't go like that with an A/B partition device. Lets schedule a private session so we walk you through to avoid bricking.
