please help in making a TWRP recovery for CUBOT P12.
Thank you very much!

Backup your phone's firmware using the miracle box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
Copy and rename recovery.bin to recovery.img and port TWRP using the tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21839.html

Sent from my M5 mini using Hovatek Mobile

Hi innagee. Thank you for your reply!
I followed all the instructions and I was able to create a recovery.img with TWRP and via comand line I copied the file on my device with the following comand:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

Both the comand line and the device showed that the process was completed successfully, but when I power my device to enter into "Recovery" (I have to press "volume +" and the "power" button) and I select "recovery" (My options are: "Recovery", "Fastboot", "Normal") the device just boots into Android.
What am I doing wrong?

Try re-flashing the file using miracle box.
Rename the ported recovery.img back to recovery.bin and follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html , include preloader.bin while flashing.
Also: make sure to use the latest porting tool.

I retried with version 1.3 beta with GUI and have still the same problem.

This is the message I received during flashing via command line:

flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 134217728 bytes
sending 'recovery' (16384 KB)...
OKAY [  0.658s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [  0.855s]
finished. total time: 1.516s

I also tried flashing with miracle box (renaming back  recovery.img to recovery.bin and including preloader.bin while flashing).
I'm using Miracle Box_Cracked 2.58

This is the text in Miracle Box:

  Connecting to Phone,Wait..

I originally tried with 1.0 and after tried 1.3 but in both cases it didn't work.
I then got suspicious and then tried using directly the recovery file in the original rom I'm using that I downloaded from this link:
https://www.cubot.net/support/firmware/p...51104.html
I just unpacked the zip file "cubot-p12.RC_mt6580_w325_e5043c_chuanqi_cc_128gbitp8d3_lp1_wcdma_mul_20151104-181357_yucheng_PC.zip", took the recovery.img (renamed it to recovery.bin) file and then used it with "[Hovatek] Mediatek Auto TWRP Recovery Porter V1.0 by Team Hovatek"...and now I finally have TWRP on my device!!!
I think that somehow my recovery got screwed (I screwed it obviously) and therefore I was porting twrp on an already screwed recovery. Blush

Thank you both for your invaluable help!
Have a great day!
