It stays a long time by the initial Pipo logo screen then shuts off and then boots to Home Screen.

Its the MT8163 I'm not sure about the 'A' part. i do remember seeing somewhere the 'A' but couldn't find it now.

***EDIT***
CPU-X and CPU-Z report it as MT8163
This site https://www.pdevice.com/product/pipo-n7-price-specs reports it as:
  • Chipset – MediaTek MT8163A, 64-bit Processor

If this also fails then we'll need to schedule a private session

This did finally boot into TWRP recovery. But now I have the problem that I can't do anything. It looks like I don't have touch in the recovery and the hardware buttons don't do anything.

Thanks a million for all the work you did for me and I hope you will be able to help me with this as well.

After trying to boot it in the boot section and playing around with it I find that I do have touch even in recovery mode. The problem is that the touch is rotated away from the actual display. The display is in portrait put the touch only works as if its in landscape (This is as if the device needs to be turned to the right 90 degrees to be able to touch).

Another side question: Is this forced encrypt? can it be set to not be forced to encrypt? (I'm not sure if I know what I'm asking here its just that I realized after playing with this recovery that my data is encrypted and I don't want it to be encrypted).

Is there anything that you can help with on this? I know there were another devices that people had this kind of problem and they were able to tweak it. Something about RECOVERY_TOUCHSCREEN_SWAP_XY := true and RECOVERY_TOUCHSCREEN_FLIP_Y := true. I wish I know how to do this but I have no idea.

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can only apply that fix if you have the kernel source code for your device (but i'm guessing you don't so you'll have to make do with what you have)
