pls help, a friend did ota update from nougat to oreo and started experiencing various issues with his infinix note 4 pro, i decided to try and help downgrading it back to Nougat but almost all the firmwares i've been downloading online are all corrupted, i've wasted almost 12gb on downloading but at the end files will extract with corrupt errors at the end. Only one that works for me is the 8.1.0 and its buggy, i tried downloading this X571-H5311A-N-171114V269, after flashing, its stuck on infinix screen and won't get past there, i tried factory resetting it, but won't get past there, if i restore back to Oreo, it will boot complete and bugs will continue disturbing, Pls whats the way out of this. I need a firmware i can download without having corrupt issues. I also downloaded v151, but device refused booting up. Pls help

After flashing the firmwares you downloaded, where you able to successfully perform a factory reset without errors?
Have you tried the other firmware similar to your build at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-20228.html

Most files are corrupt while extracting, the only file that managed to extract was X571-H5311A-N-171114V269, after flashing it got stuck at infinix screen and will remain there for ever. And yes i did a factory reset but still won't get past Infinix screen.

Answer @emmanus's question.
Try factory resetting the phone in recovery mode again, let's know how that goes.
Also, have you tried any nougat firmware on the link @x3non's reply?
See https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-18831.html for how to download from mega.nz using IDM

How exactly did you download the files and which tool did you use to extract?
