Hello
I want to try rooting my phone Mito A17 because its 1GB RAM with Android Nougat just right not enough space for my game RAM
I'm planning to root the phone to edit its minfree and maybe installing GLTools (im saying this in case you guys maybe can tell me more choice i can do)
So i follow https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html about using Magisk Manager to root
I plan to get the boot.img then flash it using SPD Upgrade Tools R19.0.0001 (so far the only one that can work with my phone .pac)
While attemping to patch the boot.img, i stumble upon a trouble
After choosing Install > Install > Patch Boot Image File > Find the boot.img
Magisk Manager didnt patch nor download anything to patch my boot.img
Moving boot.img to different folder/internal/external didnt solve it
I already do exact same step as the guide
I hope someone can enlight me whats happening and how to solve it up to rooting my phone
What i have installed is Magisk Manager v6.0.1(151)
I also already double check the build number with the firmware .pac that i download
Thx before

Did magisk throw any particular error message?
Hope your boot.img isn't boot-sign.img
Do you have another Android phone there with you?

No, there is no error message at all
After finding the boot.img Magisk Manager just going back to its main screen and doing nothing
No, i'm sure its boot.img, i copied it by unpacking the .pac by using the method at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-6236.html
Sadly No, unless you count my completely dead old phone (which is why i got this phone to begin with)
I have bluestack if that anything to help

Try uninstalling the app and install again, here's the latest version @ https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/rele...v6.0.1.apk

If still you can't load boot.img then look for another Android phone to patch the boot then copy it and flash to your phone.

Port TWRP using our tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21669.html and flash. Lets know if it boots into TWRP
Concerning your boot.img, I just tried it here with magisk manager and it patched the boot.img successfully.
Could you list the steps you took

Well, i actually already patch the recovery TWRP already but it detect Dm_verity and ask to patch boot.img xD
Seriously, i follow exact same step, i even double check with the video
My step:
Open Magisk > choose no > press install > choose install > patch boot > find boot.img > magisk back to main interface and nothing happen

There is thing that i actually notice that maybe a clue
After that last step, when i press back button, it animates as if it close current interface only to go back to same main interface
Its as if there is something invisible there that i cant do anything and when i press back it closes
That just my thought

So do i need to use patched boot.img that generated by my phone or i can use the one you patched?

retry the magisk procedure while having a stable internet connection
if you have boot.img patched on your phone then yes you can use it
