Need a secure boot DA for BLU Vivo XI+, requesting auth when attempting readback. Phone is still working fine, just would like to make a backup and possibly root. I have screenshots of recovery logs on the phone from official builds that show layout of partitions and I noticed it passing a key to the OS to be verified before sending the scatter, not sure if any of that is helpful or not, but thought it was worth a mention.  Bootloader unlocked with fastboot.  No root or TWRP avail.  Thanks

...

you might really need an auth file from the device OEM but
are you using a custom DA file for this readback procedure or the native DA file in SP flash tool?
also, have you tried unlocking bootloader then retrying readback? [while still using a custom DA]

Bootloader is already Unlocked!

Have tried both ways, We just had a Update.zip ota get released, it has a scatter.txt as well but is not compatible with sp flash,  looks like it may be missing a bit of info to work with the tool like size of partition, etc., but a link to the ota update

https://android.googleapis.com/packages/...9c1994.zip

has only a boot.img.p with is just a patch file and no recovery.img to play with.  not sure what could be done with anything else, maybe you do?

Aside from unlocking bootloader I am using the default DA in the SP Flash Tool, here is a pic of my setup with version numbers,

Im curious with an unlocked bootloader would it be safe to flash things in fastboot if you didn't have a da file?

For this model, you'll need a custom DA file. We'll list it @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/forum-112.html once available.
The reason for an unlocked bootloader talk is that it sometimes allows you flash modified files using SP flash tool but a DA would still be needed.
As for flashing files in fastboot, yes, some secure boot phones allow you flash stuff via fastboot (unlocked bootloader). No modification is safe without a backup and a confirmed way to flash the backup
