(08-01-2019, 08:51 PM)X3non some people might get a funny idea to try flashing preloader to see if it works -- that's what i tried to prevent by mentioning not to flash

anyway i can't seem to get a valid boot.img or recovery.img from within this 256mb file. try reading 0x100000000 (page only)
see if that works without spft throwing out an error.

also try this
in SPft, press (ctrl + alt + v) to enable advanced mode
click Options > option > download >
untick / tick the checkbox beside 'Physical format / readback' (if its ticked then untick it but if its unticked then tick it)
then perform another readback. the same 0x100000000 (page only)

Whichever way I tried I still get the same error after it reads back 128MB. Is there anything else I can try? maybe a different tool?

Is there anything you can help me on this I really would like to be able to root the device but don't know of any other way besides getting the boot img through this procedure.

Thank You,

Thank You,

Still unable to get a valid boot / recovery.img from the last 300mb+ dump. its there but just too many junk data included (a thing with reading from nand storage). I'm still waiting for the second readback file below in italics
BTW have you tried reading firmware using miracle box?

As mentioned in a few post back I had tried all the option you mentioned and I was still not able to readback more then the 300+MB even after ticking the Physical Format check box.

I would like to try Miracle Box where can I download it from?

How can I get the 2nd 300+ MB?

Just to clarify. I tried both ways with Physical Format check box ticked and with it unticked. Both watys I can't readback more then the 300+ MB.

** Edit **

I figured out how to get more of the readback. I read back the first 376MB into one file then readback more into a new file and from there I was able to get much more. At this point I have readback a total of 2GB here are the links to the files.

0 - 376 MB ROM_0_0-376.zip
376 MB - 632 MB ROM_1_376-632.zip
632 MB - 1 GB ROM_2_632-1024.zip
1 GB - 2 GB ROM_3_1024 - 2048.zip

** End Edit **

I have also been trying to use Miracle Box but it isn't connecting to my tablet. I installed Virtual Serial Port Driver in order to get past the comport error. But I still can't connect to the tablet. It says Connecting to Phone. Wait.. but seems to get stuck there.

you still didn't get the point. in the initial readback you made, there's a whole lot of junk data (common with using SPft to read from nand storage)  making it impossible for wwr to get anything good. approx 250mb from that readback is junk data
i need a second readback of the same 300mb plus (with physical checkbox ticked or unticked depending on what it was when you performed the initial readback) to compare

which version of miracle box did you try? , try v2.54 and v2.58

I don't remember what the original one I gave was but the one from previous post it was ticked.

Here is the unticked one  ROM_0_0-376_Unticked.zip

I tried Miracle Box 2.58
