** EDITED **

I'm trying to backup the ROM on a NAND device. I was following the directions on this post [Tutorial] How to use Wwr_MTK + SP Flash tool to backup Mediatek rom. In step #4 it says to select your memory type and continues to go with the EMMC memory type. My device has NAND memory type. and when I select it it adds in another field that's in Russian. I think its asking for the block_size. What do I select here.

Also when I go back to SP Flash Tool and go to do a readback the what option do I select in Read Method.

I went ahead and tried with the default number which was 0x20000 and in SP Flash I left the defalt which was Read Page + Spare. Now when I went back to WwR MTK Toll and tried analyzing the preloader I get no results it says "Information Not Found..."

Some info from SP Flash Tool about my device.
Chip Info:
Chip Name - MT8167
Chip Version - 0x0000cb00
Ext Clock - EXT_26M
Extern RAM Type - DRAM
Extern RAM Size - 0x40000000
NAND Flash:
ID - 0x00000000
Size - 0x400000000
Page Size - 0x00004000
Spare Size - 0x00000080
Pages Per Block - 0x00000200
BMT Exist - false

Please help me with this.

Thank Youi,

I got the info from SP Flash Tool on the left hand side this showed after I tried a readback.

I was able to do the readback but Wwr Tool wasn't able to find the Preloader in it.

I tried a few different sizes in the download as you suggestion but nothing seems to get the preloader. Then i tried 0x400000000 ( which is 16 GB this is shown in SP Flash as the size of the Extern RAM size) When I do this I get an error at readback.

Please help me with this.

Thank You,

What version of SP flash tool are you using?

OK. Before we delve deeper, how did you confirm your storage type is NAND and not EMMC?

I first tried with EMMC but when I went to readback I got an error saying that the scatter file is for EMMC but the device is NAND.

This is the error message I got.

truly there's no sign of preloader in this file
what error did you get when you tried reading back the length 0x400000000 ? (attach full screenshot)
you can also try 0x200000000
