Error while unsign recvory, boot-sign.img with fbwintool
(23-01-2019, 12:28 PM)shankar1790 Actually when i first ported a twrp recovery for my older device based on sc7731cpu i used carlive image kitchen tool (actually this is the tool which i used first time for porting a recovery by myself). So i started with carlive tool but its give error as i mentioned in commments.
**I got a twrp recovery for my device by someone on xda ** its older one twrp 3.0.2
Rather off topic -spd auto twrp porter patch (android 7) method port the recovery successfully but not working for my device (even when i changed the fstab recovery for blank screen issue but no hope)

No mtp support
(pretended 3.0.0) on xda and it worked on my device but the
big problem now is that the touch input doesn't work, and
it looks like it's a kernel bug (unfixable) of the hit
looked for a non-touch based recovery (Philz,
CWM ...) everywhere but nothing

alternatives for spd
try booting twrp using fastboot boot recovery.img
or
flash twrp recovery.img into boot partition then start up the phone using power button -- touch should be enabled but you will need to reflash your stock boot in order to return back to homescreen. this is similar to alternative 3 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-24209.html
you can port any of these -- cwmiui, miui or cyanogen recovery
miui is @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16721.html ; you can try porting that
cwmiui @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-266...#pid160768
cyanogen @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-19588.html
(02-03-2019, 12:39 PM)TokyGerard Thanks for your precious help bro, the alternative 3 seems suitable to me. Anyway I succeeded to port another non-touch based recovery using @shankar1790 's working TWRP as base by remplacing split_img and some files from ramdisk. I also tried to port CWMiui, Miui Recovery that @X3non gave me but their mountpoints are very precise with number and I didn't know how to compare them in fstab file. In CTR (from sc7731/sc8830) montpoints seem correct and similar but when I try to backup boot, my phone stuck in bootlogo and I didn't boot up once I reflashed stock boot on Research Download (but after I saw the boot backup in my sdcard located in clockworkmod/CTR folder), when I try to to backup system, it said "backup failed, can't mount system"... If you find any solution to fix that please tell me.
I leave here SS of my stock and ported CTR recovery :

i don't remember if any of those recoveries have a fully functional backup / restore feature, we only used them to help members achieve root when twrp touch doesn't work -- there was no magisk back then so root was mostly based on custom recoveries. ctr also bricked the device i tested with after backup / restore
you can get the number mount points using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-11203.html
test and see if the number mount points makes any difference on your device
