(26-02-2019, 05:05 AM)Rodriguez Ryan I have attached 3 pictures.
1st one is the method u told me about.
I checked if my BL is unlocked using 'fastboot getvar unlock'
As you can see the response. It showed nothing. So I guess its still locked?(Because I can't flash anything from fastboot using adb)

2nd and 3rd picture was taken while trying to flash patched_boot.img(I used magisk and patched my boot.img)
using SPD tools and it gave me that error.
I guess SPD Tools can't flash img files right?
Thanks in advance
I appreciate your reply sir ☺

you need to try a different version of SPD tool to fix that bin packet
try a different version of research download tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15611.html
you can try research download latest version or version R2.9.9005

So u mean I can flash patched_boot image using latest RDT?
I already tried it.
Same result, same thing shows like the SS I've shared a while ago.
It seems like only way to flash an img file is through command on fastboot.
Can I try some other method for unlocking bootloader?

Hey
Something just came on my mind.
All I need is too flash patched_boot.img by Magisk to get the root access right?
Why don't I convert this img file into a pac?
If i could make this boot.img a pac file,I could easily flash it using RDT
Is there any way to convert img to pac?

read the reply again properly
i didn't just mention latest version, try the versions until you find one that loads without the bin packet error

can't convert a single img, you still need other files esp. fdl1&2

So I have tried.Every single tool on that list latest to oldest.
All of them gives me the same error when I choose any img file.
'Bin packed version isn't supported.
Error code 10003
Load bin packet failed'

But when I try anything in pac format it just works fine.
What to do?

well, now you're explaining properly, you can only select PAC file and not .img file
launch the tool > select the PAC file > wait for it to load > click the second icon in spd tool (i.e settings) > untick everything except fdl1&2 and recovery > change the file location of recovery to point at recovery.img (twrp) > then flash

you must use research download tool

Now I get it.
It seems like flash method isn't working on my phone.
I have all the drivers installed or adb wouldn't recognize my phone right?

1)Switched off my phone
2)Took the battery out
3)Loaded the pac/whole rom
But there's no option to mark/unmark anything.
I have attached a picture for it.

4)I went on flashing anyway(I'm just checking if flashing method working)

5)I clicked download on RSD
6)I put the battery inside
7)Pressed vol down
8)Plugged the cable

By now RSD should have recognized my phone and start flashing right?
But nothings happening?
Can u guess what is causing that issue?
I have the drivers installed for sure.I even hear the sound that laptop makes while plugging and un-plugging the data cable.
So why aren't flashing starting?

And yes I tried all the tools.Same with everyone.

your drivers is not properly installed
launch device manager on your PC, connect the phone while holding vol down button then quickly check what the phone gets connected to as in device manager
you can update what it connects as using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16839.html

BTW your picture is not research download, you can only untick items in research download

Hold Down the boot button, may be either vol - , vol + or both.
