DEVICE NAME: GIONEE GN5001S

Two days ago i found this post: https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-24104.html
Then I tried to perform it so that i can use google apps. in that thread  "innagee" wrote these following 4 steps:
o enter twrp recovery.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) backup your phone's firmware using miracle @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html

2) copy recovery from the backup folder and rename to recovery.img then port twrp using the tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21839.html .

3) rename ported recovery.img in the output folder to recovery.bin and flash using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html

4) Boot the phone into recovery mode using Volume up button + Power button. Lets know if you're able to enter twrp recovery.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i have done first 3 steps successfully without any problem. but i am being failed repeatedly while performing step 4! when i try to access recovery mode, its not being redirected to TWRP recovery mode, rather it is being directed into gionee's default recovery mode.

i suspect one thing. when i try to rename ported recovery.img in the output folder to recovery.bin , it is being renamed as "recovery.bin.img"

is this causing the problem? if yes, please help me how to solve it.
if no, please help otherwise.

I used Miracle Thunder 2.82 for step 1 and step 3.
I tried both 1.2 and 1.0 of Mediatek Auto TWRP Recovery Porter for step 2. still its all the same.

please help.

Good Evening Sir, Thanks a lot for your kind reply. I have just downloaded SP. My question is: can i directly use SP to flash the recovery-verified.IMG file as you said to rename and then to flash by SP. I am confused because the recovery file was created by using Miracle box. Thanks in advance.

Sorry bro I haven't any idea.

But your problem is your redirected to verified image when your recovery fails.

I recommend you to download SP firmware and do what I said above.

(23-03-2019, 03:18 PM)nokolbuzz ...
please help.

if you're unsure about the file naming, see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-27120.html
now after porting twrp using either of the two porting tool versions, try flashing the twrp recovery three times in succession using miracle box then try booting straight into recovery mode
lets know the outcome of both porting tool versions

PS: since you made backup using miracle box, the scatter file will work best in miracle box so use the miracle box to flash, its in step 3 of your first post
