Hi there guys.. I need help on this one.

The Flyme OS Forum is entirely dead I think, so Im posting this one here because I need you advanced helpful Knowledge..

I just revived my Meizu M5 Note by the help of X3non (a very tremendous Rep of Hovatek) in this thread: https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-27125.html

Upon succesfully unbricking the device, I lost the device important information such as IMEI, IMEI2, Serial Number, And maybe a few more that I have not uncovered... But Somehow I was able to fix the IMEI issue using Tool Hero as suggested by the same Hovatek-Guy...

Now my only problem (the only thing that I see that bothers me) is the Serial Number being defaulted to: 0123456789ABCDEF

Here is the screenshot: https://ibb.co/j8jDXw7

If anyone has an Idea how to restore or manually key in the SN, I'd really appreciate it!!

This must be the issue that I could not be able to update to the Official firmware. Perhaps the device presumes being tampered or hacked...

TIA

i believe your phone is rooted now so try this using ADB
Code:

adb devices
adb shell su
echo your_original_serial_no > /sys/class/android_usb/f_accessory/device/iSerial
e.g
echo 1234567890ABCDEF > /sys/class/android_usb/f_accessory/device/iSerial

check the serial no & let's know the outcome

X3non, sorry for being late..

So here is what happened:

The first time  - I have not change anything yet, but when I tried to run the adb devices, it surprisingly showed the original serial number. Here is the screenshot:
https://ibb.co/xFYcTyr

As you can see, I was able to key in the right command adb shell su.
It failed at first, but on the second run, it now allowed the adb shell su run..
Entered the echo command, and there's no indication of success, but no indication of fail as well so I think it was successful. I looked at the phone Settings > About Phone > It did not show the original serial#. still showing the weird one.

Now, It goes weirder here:

https://ibb.co/RBJX63q

As you now see, the original serial is no longer shown upon running the adb devices command, it shows now the 0123456789ABCDEF serial number. You will also notice the - /dev/null under, but then it read it..

Tried to right the echo command again but it fail.

Tried rebooting the device and see if it changed, but nothing has been.

What do you suggest now, bro?

I'm kinda freaking out now. hahaha

I'll wait for the next suggestions

Try using Maui Meta @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-12328.html . Read the Important Notice part at the bottom
There's also the option of Sn Writer @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-12306.html if you have the db files

Hi,

I was not able to mention that these tools were tried already before I posted, but thank you guys..

On Maui, It seems that this promising tool could not make my phone on Meta, but after serveral minutes and deciding to disconnect, I was not able to boot the phone. I booted on holding the Power + Vol down, and it go on fast boot the restarted it.

On the SN writer, There's no option for me to tick serial number on version 1532 (i guess, i'm not sure)...

I will try these again later after Office, and will send screen caps.

***UPDATE: Screenshot of the SN Writer: https://ibb.co/h76NJDD

I can see that .. or It seems.. I have the wrong DB Files.. I tried searching in Hovatek as well but could not find 1 for MT6755.. If you have a link I will appreciate it...

***While Maui, she is a bit shy I guess... The tool will only blink red-green, and could not load the phone even after several minutes.. If you have a way to tame here, please let me know..

Many thanks and cheers!

before you try using maui meta, launch device manager on the pc
then try connecting the phone to maui meta, when the phone enters meta mode (ie when it comes on but stuck on logo) check if the phone shows up in device manager
if it does, try updating the driver to android cdc gadget @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16640.html

sn writer requires AP & BP, you can only get this if it's included in the factory firmware
maui meta only needs BP file, you can get from factory firmware or extract from your phone using this guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-11609.html

Hey Mr. freshtyt,

I thank you  for your help. But I kind a confuse.. Here are the files that I was able to get from my Phone: https://ibb.co/DtJgt59

The first file was from a signed stock ROM, by the way.. And I fail to find any BPLGU file in my phone.
So from here, I would not think of being able to use SN Writer.

If these files will help me, write the serial number Maui. Which of these can be used in Maui Meta?
AND, where in Maui's folder do I have to put the file?

Sorry, Im so noob in these things. Thank you!!

there are two MDDB files you have there, the one with the larger file size is what you need for maui meta
for sn writer writer you need the large mddb and AP file

in maui meta, use the option named barcode download and see @hovatek's reply for how to use maui meta and about reading the important notice section

oh, Guys.. This MAUI Girl is too tough! It can detect, but with error. It is not even successfully booting the device to META Mode..

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the VCOM Drivers and successfully installed CDC drivers.

Whenever I try, this is what I got: https://ibb.co/4NcqW1Q ... Then the Smart (I mean.. Totally smart) Phone will start charging..

I do not know whats wrong with Maui.
