I downloaded Tecno LB6 recovery image from https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-26603.html. ported it with the twrp_auto_port after flashing via adb, and booting to recovery, I get the following errors:
E: Primary block device '/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11120000.msdc0/by-name/userdata' for mount point '/data' is not present
Failed to mount '/system' (invalid argument')
Failed to mount '/vendor' (invalid argument')
Failed to mount '/data' (invalid argument')
Failed to mount '/cache' (invalid argument')
Unable to mount storage

I later tried to flash back the stock rocovery-sign.img via ADB, but I got an error msg about it not been a boot image type. I decided to flash it via SPFlashTool using the write method, after it showed successful, I tried booting it to recovery only for it to automatically reboot back to system. Please how do I flash back the stock recovery or get a better twrp that can mount those blocks

the errors are from the mount points. did you use v1.4 twrp porter?
also did you download recovery.img for your phone's exact build number?

I used v1.4 and yes the recovery.img is from the same build, unless there was a mistake from the one uploaded in this forum

try this, extract the twrp recovery.img you got from our tool ; you can use the method @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15817.html
edit both *.fstab files located in ramdisk/etc folder

remove the value 11120000.msdc0 from every line

before editting, you'll have something like this
Code:

...mtk-msdc.0/11120000.msdc0/by-name...

after editting, all the lines should look like below
Code:

...mtk-msdc.0/by-name...

repack the recovery, flash and see if the error message is gone

Editing the .fstab solved the problem, the only issue now is a bootloop when I reboot system directly from twrp

did you carry out any task in twrp? (factory reset, install e.t.c)
when reboot from twrp did you get any prompt to install supersu or twrp app? select No or "do not install"
