Hello..
Morning
I just got a new Gionee S10 lite from an online store and after using it for a while I noticed that the Navigation keys ( back key, recent key) together with the home key which is mounted with the finger print sensor just stopped working. I had to restart the phone to get it working again.
I saw a thread online which recommended booting into recovery mode and wiping data cache and a did and worked for some days.
It started again two days back, neither restarting nor wiping the data cache working, I just had to switched off the phone the rest of the night.
When I switched it on this morning, it was working fine.
Please what could be the fix to this.
Thank you Sir.

before this problem began, did you install anything or perform a recent update?
you can try checking for any new updates or flashing stock firmware on the phone

check if the build number matches the one listed @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-389.html
if it does then try flashing the firmware

backup firmware from your phone, you can try the method @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-25452.html
from your backup, use method 4 or 7 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html to verify the build number of your phone

1. I tried backing up and this is where I get stock...
I've tried several times but no way around it.

Scanning USB Serial port...
Connecting to Phone,Wait..
Conncet Ok.
CPUID:0x000860E1
>>can not identify

2. I manage to get a friend who has same phone, will there be any need downloading the firmware here?
3. Thanks for your support.

hope your phone is booted into edl mode? you can confirm by checking device manager
also attach full screenshot of the miracle box window and error message you're getting
if your friend's phone isn't having the sames issues then no need to download firmware, at least not yet anyways
