I bought a Gionee GN3003 16+1 few days ago, a Chinese used. I discovered the rom was tweaked making it unstable, so I decided to flash a factory stable rom which I have already downloaded. Before I proceed with, I want to know if it is safe to flash with SP flash tool? Here is the screen shot of about phone from my phone.

If the build number on the firmware matches the same on your phone then yes it's good, if not then the only way to find out is to try it out yourself (make a firmware backup first before doing so) OR look for and ask someone who has tried it on the same phone model as yours

It is android 5.1, I've been trying to upload the screen shot but failed.

How do I check the build number on the firmware? I downloaded the it from a Chinese website, but I'm sure it is the GN3003 firmware.

Backup your phone’s firmware using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html , once successful then try flashing the firmware you’ve downloaded.

So I have backup my rom with miracle box, in case I need to restore it (it's a scatter backup), which one is preferred, sp flash tool or miracle box? Because in the tutorial it is stated that scatter files created with miracle box do not work well with SP flash tool.

any should be fine really but you can still backup using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21970.html ; this is SP flash tool friendly
