[Tutorial] How to fix a totally dead MTK phone; wont come on, charge or show any sign of life


My sp flash tool remains at 0 % wen i try to flash my verry dead techno m5 it doesnt own or chargr but it makes a sound wen i connect it to my laptop, i haveinstalled the drivers from a working m5 already

Means you dont have MTK / vcom drivers. follow this guide @ http://forum.hovatek.com/thread-439.html

Might be from your EBR1 and EBR2 . where did you get the MTK backup you're using and what version of MTK droid tools was the backup made with?

Made d back up from two different fones using driod tools version 2.4.8

Apparently you dont. Manually install Vcom drivers using this guide @ http://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html .if it still persists after manual installation then lets know

use version 2.5.3 instead . Make a clockwokrmod backup too so you can get userdata and cache from the cwm backup. You could also try MTK tools version 2.3.0 , this particular version allows you backup userdata and cache.
When you have all files, go for firmware upgrade

Will FAT be included in the backup? and wch scattered file should I use[the edited one or the original one, keep in mind that if I use the original won't need FAT]
