Thanks for the time. Everything looks fine at the storage level. do you recall the size of the first update you flashed and where it was saved to?

The size was about 1.6gb but no idea where it saved to.  There was no option to select save location during the flashing with sp tools

there's up to 2GB on all possible save location. An alternative is to try another stock backup. we're trying to replicate this at our end

Internal storage - 7.0GB free
Phone storage - 17GB free
phone has no SD card
im confused as to why i cant install updates but i can install softwares. hope it has noting to do with the stock rom or flashing process
thats just 49mb and shouldnt be a problem. have you done a factory reset?

yes i have done a factory reset, same thing, i even re-flashed the custom rom and did the formatting option there using SK tools

Perhaps its trying to download into the system partition which has 0 bytes free

How do we overcome this? It doesn't download into that system partition before. What system file can be modified for this and reflashed?

Nb- My camera is working properly and saving pix

thats just what we are looking for. please, post the screenshot of where system displays 0 bytes free (if you can find it). we can then focus on freeing space there. just need to know where it was trying to save the update file to

The fault might also be from download manager
