Hi guys, I recently bought an itel A23 4G phone from Airtel.
The problem was the preinstalled firmware didn't bring up any monthly security updates.
To overcome this I flashed a firmware file of the unbranded itel A23. Everything worked as expected apart from the camera which doesn't work at all.
I realised later that the Airtel version is actually itel A23A and probably comes with slightly different hardware configuration.
I went to Airtel and the chaps there said the file they have is not compatible with my phone!
Anyone please help me with the firmware file for the itel A23A so that I can restore it to its original state. Thanks.

you'll need to look for a working device of the same model to backup its firmware then restore to yours.

Thanks for replying. Is it possible to port TWRP to its Spreadtrum/UniSoC SC9832e chip. Otherwise I will try backing up and restoring using a box.

our tool doesn't support android 8 atm, best you use a dongle / box for the backup and restore

Thanks X3non for the heads up though I'm getting an error on my PC that's failing to recognize the phone while using that box software you shared. Maybe its my Windows 10 machine but driver signing is turned off. I'll try using a different machine running Windows 7.

since the chipset is sc9832, ensure to try other boots related to sc9832

I tried different chipsets but was I getting the same error. I nonetheless managed to locate the phone's firmware with filename "A23A-SU335-8.1-ATL-V003-20190626" at a certain website where you have to pay to download!
