APCore::Connection::ConnectDA(): Check Storage Life Cycle: STATUS_UNSUPPORT_CTRL_CODE(-1073676284)(..\..\flashtool\Conn\Connection.cpp,175)
It appears some newer devices do not understand the Check Storage Life Cycle control instruction and the flash tool throws the above error.
Good news is that in Flash Tools options, there is a checkbox to disable Check Storage Life Cycle. I was having the same issue with a Tecno Phantom 9 and after disabling the option, I was able to read back everything (scatter, preload, emmc_user) and create a full backup without any issues.
