I found some custom roms for lenovo k9 whose specs are almost similar to my device but chipset is mtk6762 while mine is mtk6761. Can I use to port custom roms of this device. I don't want to take a blind step so I want assistance related to this, also if I can successfully port rom and if it is not compatible for my device then how worse can happen I mean if only that extent so I can restore everything via twrp then I don't have any problems trying experiments.

that's very unlikely to work
check if your phone supports project treble, https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...eble&hl=en
if it does then search online for GSI custom roms
