Trying to root my Moto X4 (Pie) without compromise the use of Pay app, I attempted to flash Magisk (different versions) via TWRP (3.3.1.0). As result, my phone has begun to loop without booting in normal system mode. Only reflashing Pie, has restablished the normal functionality of the phone but the root was not performed (and GPAY app doesn't run any more!).  Where am I wrong? Thanks a lot for your help, Maurizio.

what exactly did you flash to fix the bootloop, full firmware or only system.img or something else?

I flashed (via cmd adb) the full ROM (and so I lost TWRP)

check if the bootloader of the device is unlocked, if it is then relock the bootloader and check if Gpay works

to check bootloader status, try the command below while in fastboot mode
Code:

fastboot getvar unlocked

to relock, will depend on the command you used in unlocking e.g if you unlocked using "fastboot flashing unlock" then to relock will be "fastboot flashing lock"
