Yes, I did yesterday but the issue was after installing adb drivers were made available but none for fastboot...it was very strang... I even used the universal adb install that finds the driver automacally but still nothing. When the device is in ADB mode everything goes well but the moment I switch to fastboot the asterisks pop up on devices manage showing no fastboot drivers and so no commands.

you mean it's now stuck at bootlogo? if yes, did you successfully factory reset the device in recovery mode after flashing the firmware?

if you've flashed the firmware posted here and factory reset the phone and it still won't boot then you'll need to look for another phone same model as yours to backup firmware from

some time ago I got another tab and I tried using mtk droid too but wasn't working with the devices. (keep getting all kinds of error messages) at first mtk droid wasn't able to root the device so I used another method to root from there i started getting other error messages. Is there another tool that i can use to backup thats far more better than the mtk droid tool

you can try Wwr_mtk tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21970.html or miracle thunder @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html to backup firmware of a Mediatek phone
