This is a step by step guide showing how to use the huawei E5573 mifi without the battery

Requirements

How to use the huawei E5573 mifi without the battery

The steps below explain how to use the huawei E5573 mifi without the battery

See the video below or @ https://youtu.be/iAUW9wS1IYg

  1. Connect the mifi to the PC with battery inserted using USB cable
  2. Launch DC unlocker

    [Image: How-to-use-the-huawei-E5573-mifi-without...tery-1.jpg]

  3. Click the search icon button

    [Image: How-to-use-the-huawei-E5573-mifi-without...tery-2.jpg]

  4. The Mifi info should be displayed on dc unlocker tool

    [Image: How-to-use-the-huawei-E5573-mifi-without...tery-3.jpg]

  5. Type the following AT command into dc unlocker tool and press the Enter key. If successful, you should see an OK message
    Code:

    AT^NVWREX=50364,0,4,01 00 00 00

    [Image: How-to-use-the-huawei-E5573-mifi-without...tery-4.jpg]

  6. If your device doesn't accept the command above then it's either you calculate and send in datalock code before sending the command. You can calculate oem_code using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-25309.html OR flash a modified firmware with adb and telnet enabled, such firmwares are usually indicated with "M_AT" or "AT" within their filename
    Code:

    AT^DATALOCK="oem_code"

  7. You can now disconnect the mifi
  8. To power on the mifi without battery, simply connect the mifi to a charging source and the mifi will automatically power on

Important Notice
  • If this method fails for you or you don't feel comfortable tampering with the software then you can try the hardware method of tricking the device into working without a battery
  • For those using E5573s-606 and E5573s-320 looking for modified firmware, see this post
  • There's no guarantees that this will work for your device. Try at your discretion
  • If you wish to undo the changes then see the command to send @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-325...#pid194910
  • For optimal usage, you must use a really powerful AC charger e.g one with input 1A and 5V
  • Using PC USB port as charging source doesn't work, it's not sufficient to power both the internet and wifi
  • If your device keeps restarting constantly, it means charging source is not supplying enough power. Use a different charger or charging source
  • Currently confirmed to work on E5573s-606 , E5573cs-322 , E5573cs-933. It may work for other e5573 models other than the listed 3
  • For proof that it's actually possible to run the e5573 without battery, see the video @ https://youtu.be/HihRklHOAZA

yes? if you need proof then see the video @ https://youtu.be/HihRklHOAZA

i'm guessing the firmware you have on your device rejects the AT command, try looking for and flashing an M_AT firmware (i.e modified with adb enabled firmware) to your device then retry the command

it all depends on your charging source. see the second point under the important notice section in the OP, maybe that'll help you
as for battery indicator, did you check the webui if the indicator still shows?
BTW which e5577 model, did you try this on?

Thanks for the replay
I use huawei E5577s-932 and for charging Samsung fast charging 2A 5V.
Battery bar show in modem Lcd and WebUI full after 2 days usage. The battery is not that great Smile
after 2 days when I write this comment battery is empty and needs a charge when I unplug from charger it shows full.

You did this for free and I am grateful but the battery bar is important for me.
If this issue doesn't fix how can I back to normal?

I have a networking problem on my modem . When I put on my TRENOR 4G modem . It will come on showing the 2 green light then go off shortly and come on again showing Green (Left side ) and Red (Right side ) light .
And if when I try to browse it shows ERROR or No Network nor it will just show the HUAWEI LOGO telling me go to web page or retry .

I even typed in the IP number of the modem then switched to the Huawei page but it indicated NO NETWORK even after trying to work on the settings and codes ....It suddenly started this problem last 3 weeks .
