(15-06-2020, 06:17 PM)brilliant_smart I am using the latest version of software download tool. And I downloaded the firmware from the page you referring, I posted same link on the first post...

do you by any chance have any other tecno or infinix oreo firmware available? if yes and it's mt6763, try copying the efuse.xml into the ca7 folder and retry using SWD tool, if it has a different chip, rename to mt6763, also edit the chipset amd preloader file name within the efuse file
there might be an efuse file with the other factory / signed ca7 firmware in the link above but that'll require you downloading the entire firmware to check

OR if you don't, you can try unlocking the bootloader of the phone since it still powers on then flash the modem files within the firmware using fastboot

I have efuse of camon 11 pro (CF8) efuse_MT6765 lemme try renaming..
By the way, how do I flash only the modem in fastboot? fasboot command? and which file do I use?

(12-06-2020, 04:30 PM)brilliant_smart I have Tecno CA7 with unknown baseband, I tried several times to repair the imei and baseband, I downloaded the DB from here: https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23177.html for the same build number it failed to write with SN_Write_Tool_v2.1504.00. I downloaded the complete firmware it still failed to write.
it said this on the first DA "ERROR: SATATUS_DA_SELECTION_ERR(0xC0030003)"
and this on the second DA I downloaded here "ERROR: STATUS_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL(0xC0060001)"

and writing with miracle box stops at:
"Writing(Nand/eMMC)...
  preloader Skip.
  Writing recovery
  Writing md1img
  Writing md1dsp
  Writing spmfw
  Writing sspm_1
  Writing sspm_2
  Writing lk
  Writing lk2
  Writing boot
  Writing logo
  Writing odmdtbo
  Writing tee1
  Writing tee2
  Writing vendor
>>ERROR0_5e"

please help me, I have CA8 that failed to flash too

You first need to fix Unknown baseband before you can fix null IMEI. This is done by flashing the firmware.
Flash firmware using Software Download tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23709.html
Once baseband is fixed, fix null IMEI using modem meta @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-116.html

It failed with Software Download tool too, it says "da connection failed! STATUS_BROM_CMD_SEND_DA_FAIL"
It asked for checksum.ini first, I followed hovatek's tutorial, download checksum generator and generated it. After all it failed. I still haven't formatted the phone, it boots..

Turn off your mobile phone

- Press Firmware Upgrade in Software Download Tool.

- Press Volume Down on the mobile phone.

- Keep Volume Down pressed and connect to the USB

- Normally Software Download tool starts to program and you can release the Volume Down key.

video tutorial here( But use above steps):
https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-23709.html

I tried that already, thanks for your reply

Editing another phone's efuse.xml enables me to flash the phone successfully using SWD tool, but baseband is still unknown.

Can you get access to a working device of your model?

(17-06-2020, 01:54 PM)brilliant_smart ...By the way, how do I flash only the modem in fastboot? fasboot command? and which file do I use?

if bootloader is unlocked, modem files are md1 and md3 and secro if available
Code:

fastboot flash <partition_name> <filename>
e.g
fastboot flash md1img md1img.img

did you try factory resetting the phone after flashing the firmware?
if yes and still no baseband then try a different firmware build

fastboot flash md1img md1img.img went successfully, but flashing other secro and md3img failed it says: "FAILED (remote: This partition doesn't exist)"
I made this thread active because it is a threatening case here in my areas, I don't know how technicians flashed them, I have KB7, CA7, KA7 and CA8 here with me, all brought with unknown baseband.
Fixing this is a huge volunteer..

Best regards

not all files within the firmware are to be flashed, you're to use the scatter file to check for which partitions exists on the said device e.g md3 and secro partitions do not exist on ca7
if you're using the same files you already used in spft, don't expect it to make any difference
look for a different firmware build to try

unless you're a 100% sure that the firmware build you flashed is the right build for the device, and if that's the case then it's likely the device has a faulty emmc chip
