SQ36 user password forgotten
(24-06-2020, 09:37 AM)saybzebi Hello, as the title said i have an old SQ36 (see attached image) and i haven't used it for a long time so i forgot that i have locked it with a password (4-8 numbers) . i tried using Aladdin GSM as you shown in this tutorial but instead of using repair_IMEI im using read_password and for some reason my pc wont detect the phone when it connects and aladdin hangs in "scanning mobile usb port" (ill attach a screenshot for both aladdin and my drivers) im not sure exactly where the problem is so if someone can help me i'd really appreciate it. if you need any further information just ask me in a reply.
thanks and have a good day.

features phones could use other chipsets other than mediatek
how did you verify that the device uses mediatek chipset? try uninstalling com3-5 but don't tick the checkbox to delete the driver. then reconnect the phone and check if and what device manager detects upon refreshing

i tried what you suggested and device manager detects "gadget serial" under "other devices" but disappears quickly on its own

feature phones could use mtk as well as spd or rda chipset too
try updating the detected driver to mtk usb port ; see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16839.html , then retry reading userlock, better still try using miracle thunder instead of gsm alladin
