(29-07-2020, 11:31 AM)DivergentSony Chai!!! E don happen Sad .
How will cm2 be used to test the emmc after getting the dongle? is it that the emmc will be removed from the motherboard of the phone and be connected with the dongle or how?

connect the dongle to the pc > install the necessary drivers and cm2mt2 module from their website > launch and select test emmc or flash ic > run the procedure > connect your phone to the pc via usb cable then wait for the result

Ok.  Thanks.  Do you have an idea of any easier meaning  of getting that dongle? Its quite expensive. The price that I'm seeing online no be here at all.

Then another question I have is that is, If I buy another android phone, is it possible to restore backups I did either with twrp recovery or miracle box to that new android phone? There are Whatsapp chats and numbers in that phone with unfinished discussions. there are also notes I wrote in the notepad pad app of that tecno phone that I'll like to restore.

your userdata backup will not work in any other phone, except its a similar wx3p running the exact same firmware as yours and you flash back metadata to enable the phone decrypt the userdata.
you should be able to extract the twrp userdata backup to get your whatsapp folder, with which you can restore to a new device

How I will be able to get the Whatsapp folder fromthe userdata twrp backup? The data backups I'm seeing the the backup folder are in .ext4.win.000 and other extensions

You can check the attached screenshot to see their different extenesions.

concatenate both data.ext4.*** files , something similar to what's explained @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-268...#pid170410
you can use linux pc or cygwin in windows ; there's a link @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-25484.html
you should then be able to mount / extract the final ext4 file

OK, I but I'm a bit confused about this stuff. Must I concatenate the 2 data.ext4.win files as one before I can restore the backup on a new device? Is it because I want to use the backup on a new device I have to do that? I didn't go through all these concatenation process when I restored the backup on mm tecno wx3p.

Then after doing the concatenation, is it twrp recovery that I'll still use to restore the back up to a new phone.

already answered this @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-357...#pid198645
the essence of concatenating is to find out if you can extract it or not, it has nothing to do with restoring backup

you should read my previous reply again, i didn't mention anything about restoring to a different phone rather make an attempt to extract

after doing the concatenation, how will I mount / extract the final ext4 file and how will I use it to restore the the app data that I want to do on a new phone?

Secondly, I want to ask if I can use the below method to restore the app data from my twrp recovery?

I get a new another phone that is different and higher in specs from that tecno wx3p, I take a full backup on it with twrp and probably miracle box. Then I duplicate the backup on my PC and use ONLY the data.ext4.win files or the files containing the user data backup on my old tecno phone to replace the one in the new phone that I want buy. Then use twrp to restore it or maybe flash it back with miracle box.

I just tried running that cat code on the cygwin and I used - "cat ext4.win000 data.ext4.win001 > fulldata.ext4.win" but it is telling me

cat: data.ext4.win000: No such file or directory
cat: data.ext4.win001: No such file or directory

you're to place both files within your user folder in cygwin's folder e.g C:\cygwin64\home\your_name\
then you can run the command
