Tried that but didn't work
I flashed with sp flash tool latest version with the **download only** option or I'm I suppose to format first

you can try firmware with a different build number OR better still if you can find firmware with this exact build CF7-H399BCDEFH-O-181130V158
meanwhile backup the current firmware from the phone, or you could backup only recovery.img
use the recovery.img and method 7 @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html
let me know the build you get from the current backup recovery.img on the device

Yes this happen to me once,what I did was I have to plug the phone one power for overnight and next I make sure that my sp flashtool is ready and already load my skatter file and make sure I tick on preloader ,and load my da agent without clicking download.
Now I open my device manager and connect my dead phone and keep pressing the power botton or volume down .as soon as I see mt67xx preloader ,I disconnect and from the outlet to my PC (I mean the big USB cord that is connected to my PC) and click download on sp and immediately I connect and flash on preloader.now I can power off or on and flash the rest except that preloader

In my case, in the device manager, it only shows Mediatek port something ( shown in attachment ), not the exact phone model.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Edit : keep disconnecting / reconnecting

Yes u are one step away from solving it
Pls don't remove the USB point to the phone
Only remove the one from Ur PC
And click download and hold the volume down and connect the PC cord and see the magic

And make sure u install Ur BCom driver like mt67xx preloader vcom and no triangular mark on it on device manager

Thank you !! My hero ! Problem solved ...

the language I want is not shown in the device when I select add a language. Any idea on how to add it ? that was the point of flashing firmware in the first place
