I picked up a cheap Tinno U304AA, aka the AT&T Radiant Core, and I'm looking to read its partitions and mod it.  However, SPFT won't work because I need an auth file.  I've also tried Miracle Box, to no avail.

Does anyone have a Tinno auth file they can send me?

Not available

i read your much lengthy post @xda, things to note
1. even if you managed to find the right da and auth file for this model, you should never format everything on the device as those oreo secure boot mtk devices usually have the problem where they won't accept anything (e.g firmware backup) other than factory / signed firmware
2. since you plan on making a firmware backup, you could try getting root using mtksu method @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-32765.html ; if successful, then use the adb tab in wwr mtk @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-21969.html to make a firmware backup
3. you can try booting to the bootloader using the adb command "adb reboot-bootloader". no guarantees that this will work esp if the carrier has disabled fastboot mode on this device

Thanks for the reply

1) dang, that sucks. if i have root privs is there any way i can disable secure boot?
2) I tried the mtksu method, it said my device was not compatible (tried 32 and 64 bit)
3) I tried adb reboot-bootloader along with a bunch of other commands and none of them got me to the BL.  If I go to the boot menu with Vol. Up + Power, it inly shows Recovery and Normal Boot.

I'm attempting to use a friend's Miracle Box now to backup the firmware. I followed the Hovatek guide on how to connect a device to it.  It gets to a point where it said connected to phone (CPU: MT6739 SW: 0002 Ver: CB00) but then it gets stuck at Downloading Boot8 and never goes anywhere.

If all else fails I will try compiling qu1ckr00t for my phone next but I do not have kernel sources, so I'll have to compile against 4.4.146 mainline and hope for the best.  It's a shame that MediaTek phones got so hard to modify in these recent years, I remember it used to be so easy with the older models.

1. Unfortunately, you can't disable secure boot
2. very odd, did you try the latest version @ https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpos...count=1000 ?
3. no doubt, the OEM really did disable fastboot

reading / writing firmware from a mediatek device with secure boot, regardless of the tool you're using requires at least a custom DA (and or auth file). miracle box without the right da still won't work
