I wanted to experiment so I got myself the above mentioned phone.
I used wwr_mtk ver 2.51 with SP flash tool latest version and made a backup of the original ROM.
Now I want to root it and try to install a custom ROM.
I need a custom TWRP as I understand (it's been ages since I've last rooted android phones).
Could you help?
Also - do I need any other type of backup other than what I did in the event I mess things up with a custom ROM?

3. Android version
Marshmallow android 6.0

4. Chipset (its Mediatek)

A full WWR backup should do.

Hi, im in a similar situation, i have the same bricked device... Can you upload the full rom of this device?
In return ill tel you a working method to root this devie.

you should try using the "send an email" feature on the OP's profile (it just might work to get his attention back here)

Hi Eugen,

Funny enough - my original name is the same as yours.
Unfortunately I have deleted all the files relating to this phone as I passed it on unrooted.

I will try to look if I can recover them - if I do - I'll let you know.
