Twrp recovery is not working on my tecno pouvoir 2 pro. My phone refused to boot into the recovery, enters a boot loop or boots to home screen instead with the right key combination. I downloaded it from one of your threads but it's like it's not meant for my particular build, because when I flash it with the stock recovery using SP flash tool, it enters the recovery fine. I also created one using the twrp porter v1.3 and my stock rom's recovery.img file but the issue persists. I've unlocked the bootloader with adb&fastboot and patched my boot.img file with magisk without ticking both 'preserve DM verity, and force encryption' options. I don't want to use any other recovery but twrp. The phone has many variants but here below is the details of mine:

Device Name: Tecno Pouvoir 2 Pro
Model: LA7 Pro, 3GB RAM 32GB ROM
Build ID: LA7Pro-H393A-O-190322V168
Chipset: MT6739WA
Android Version: 8.1.0
API Level: 27
Kernel Version: armv71

Attached below is the scatter file

just to be sure, you still had patched boot when you tried all 3 options?
also try using the philz tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21495.html

Yes I had patched boot.
I tried Phil's tool and created a recovery, and my phone was able to enter the Philz recovery fine. The issue is I keep on getting these errors:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log

I've tried re-installing the recovery, formatting cache, and re-flashing the system.img but the error still shows.

In the Phil's recovery porter v1.5, I selected 8.1 Oreo-go since there's no option for 8.1.0

The twrp worked! I'm so grateful. I only had issue with it showing "enter password to decrypt data / 0mb internal storage; but I was able to fix it with the first method from one of your previous threads at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-30160.html
Thanks so much! You really made my day. Pls keep up the good work...
