[Tweak] Gionee M6 battery calibration possible?
(21-01-2021, 02:44 PM)Detective_Khalifah While browsing Xposed Framework modules after rooting my M6 device, I saw "DisableCriticalBatteryShutdown" by zst123 -- https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-x...d.2583320/; repo.xposed.info/module/com.zst.xposed.disablecriticalbatteryshutdown.
The module isn't compatible with Android 4.3+, nonetheless I installed it on my 6.0, to check if I could somehow fix my battery issue -- when recharging, it looks good from 0% to about 4_%, but going upwards - don't know at what percentage - it simply gets to 100%; while discharging, on the other hand, it drops really fast. Can't say the battery lasts 12 hrs even though it's 5000mAh. Hence my search for an answer - as to whether it's possible to calibrate it, and get accurate readings or not, in which case I seek guidance to the right direction I should point my thoughts towards.

on gionee m5 mini, the battery issue was fixed by a OTA update, seeing as you don't have any updates, maybe you could try other m6 firmwares (see if any works for you and if it helps fix the battery)
(22-01-2021, 12:28 PM)Detective_Khalifah System.img only, right? Will it affect root status or brick? Seeing as there're many firmware for M6 in the Gionee firmware thread, which one(s) do I try?
(23-01-2021, 09:38 AM)X3non boot and system then factory reset in recovery modeI'll upload parts of build.prop, so you could help analyse; I'm getting *BBL7515* (e.g. ro.product.device=GiONEE_BBL7515A) & *BBL755* (e.g. ro.mediatek.version.release=BBL7551GA_0103_T5755), and I don't know what to look for -- making me think the list (https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-389.html) doesn't have a ROM newer than what I've got.
ofc. root will be gone upon flashing a different boot and there's also the possiblity of a soft brick (stuck at boot or bootloop) seeing as there's no guarantee that any of them will work on your device
you'll have to test them all to find out if any even works
