While browsing Xposed Framework modules after rooting my M6 device, I saw "DisableCriticalBatteryShutdown" by zst123 -- https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/mod-x...d.2583320/; repo.xposed.info/module/com.zst.xposed.disablecriticalbatteryshutdown.
The module isn't compatible with Android 4.3+, nonetheless I installed it on my 6.0, to check if I could somehow fix my battery issue -- when recharging, it looks good from 0% to about 4_%, but going upwards - don't know at what percentage - it simply gets to 100%; while discharging, on the other hand, it drops really fast. Can't say the battery lasts 12 hrs even though it's 5000mAh. Hence my search for an answer - as to whether it's possible to calibrate it, and get accurate readings or not, in which case I seek guidance to the right direction I should point my thoughts towards.

on gionee m5 mini, the battery issue was fixed by a OTA update, seeing as you don't have any updates, maybe you could try other m6 firmwares (see if any works for you and if it helps fix the battery)

System.img only, right? Will it affect root status or brick? Seeing as there're many firmware for M6 in the Gionee firmware thread, which one(s) do I try?

boot and system then factory reset in recovery mode
ofc. root will be gone upon flashing a different boot and there's also the possiblity of a soft brick (stuck at boot or bootloop) seeing as there's no guarantee that any of them will work on your device
you'll have to test them all to find out if any even works

I'll upload parts of build.prop, so you could help analyse; I'm getting *BBL7515* (e.g. ro.product.device=GiONEE_BBL7515A) & *BBL755* (e.g. ro.mediatek.version.release=BBL7551GA_0103_T5755), and I don't know what to look for -- making me think the list (https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-389.html) doesn't have a ROM newer than what I've got.
I'm considering following options:
1. Gionee M6 amigo3.5.12 2018-02-10 BBL7515A T0277
http://www.amigo.cn/mobile.php?id=65 (unavailable)
2. Gionee M6 BBL7551GA-0103-T5506

Seems I need some "Decryption key". Where can I get it?

click on the link directly from the post @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-389.html
copied links usually breaks and end up requiring key

Guess that's my bad. Though I remember clicking link and going through ad. Anyway, I was able to flash 'system.img' using fastboot, and though it took a long time to flash (TWRP failed to flash it) and "Data Encryption" took more than the usual 10 seconds - about 10 minutes - I was able to boot into it. Kept getting "Contacts has stopped working" I think, and I flashed 'boot.img' afterwards; had to do another factory reset (via recovery, which somehow reverted to stock, with VOLUME UP & POWER KEY working in addition to VOLUME DOWN) and I'm in right now. Will see how the battery works out, albeit without usual exertion, as all apps have been uninstalled, and nothing's on the phone at the moment.

that's recovery-from-boot.p within /system at play

fingers crossed, though you might want to reinstall apps and test the rom as you would a normal day's usage
