I was flashing a Uniwa F50 of a friend with the files from my twin Uniwa F50 (actually what I flashed was system.img and boot.img), and now my friend's device has no imei numbers and the baseband says "unknown". I was silly enough not to make a backup before proceeding because I thought that system and boot (actually patched boot) were harmless. I was so wrong!!

Can you please help me restore my friend's device functionality?
It run an MT6737M Mediatek chipset.

Thank you

factory reset the phone in recovery then confirm if baseband and imei returned
if it doesn't return then make a full firmware backup from your friend's phone as it is rn, also make a firmware backup from yours as well
flash secro, md1 & 3 files if available from yours to your friend's phone then factory reset and confirm if baseband is okay

I think I might have bricked the phone. After a factory reset that didn't show any improvement I tried flashing secro and other files. Now the phone won't turn on and in flashtools it is only detected the windows preloader that pops up but nothing happens. Sad

Is this the end of the line?

Disconnect and reconnect the battery then try powering on the phone.

if preloader was included then you'd need to confirm if the preloader is the right or wrong one, do this by disconnecting / reconnecting the battery of the device as @Abdulakeem14 suggested initially, you'd need to disassemble the back to get to the battery
if the device still remains dead then it's the wrong preloader for your device, you'll need to look for another firmware build to try

I used the wrong preloader (the one for my device). I stupidly thought that 2 twin devices use the same firmware.
I dared to push my luck because I had tried a number of programs to restore the emei - all to no avail.
Now when I connect it, the device is not detected (wwr mtk does not detect it either) so I guess since I used the wrong preloader I don't see how I can upload another firmware (which I don't have anyway).
It would take a miracle to resuscitate this phone
