Hi there, I have bought 13 smartphones to use an application which requires minimum android 5.1

these are the specs of the smartphones that I got now

Hardware : MT6572
Model : Forward_Run (dual sim)
Build number : Forward_Run
Build date UTC : 20140604-081323
Android v : 4.2.2
Baseband v: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V1.P22, 2014/04/20 22:39
Kernel v : 3.4.5 (android@android-7) (gcc version 4.6.x-google 20120106 (prerelease) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Wed Jun 4 16:11:02 CST 2014
480x800 display

I have spent at least over 30 hours in different days through google and youtube. All I understood that probably I need to port a rom. And to do this the ported rom has to have the same cpu + kernel.
Thanks to one video of this forum I have been able to backup the entire stock rom of the device, I became mad. But only the video of hovatek helped me.

Now I am trying to install a custom recovery...I already posted into two topics. One for custom recovery, second for unlocking the bootloader (which probably I don't need). Cause as I understood through sp tools-fastboot I will be able to flash a custom rom.

https://www.needrom.com/download/android...gy-mt6572/

this is the only custom rom that I found that might be ok if I port it. The rom is based on android 5.1 for the device wiko iggy, which is exactly a dual sim like mine with mt6572 and kernel 3.4.5

Can you tell me if my theory regarding this rom is ok?

Last question, can I upgrade the kernel from 3.4.5 to 3.4.67? Cause I find out so many custom roms based on android 5.1 and above for mt6572 but kernel 3.4.67

many things can go wrong if you try to flash firmware for a different device directly to your device, you should search for how to port roms for your device chipset, it's different from flashing the full firmware of a different device

I will not do it by myself. Another person has to port for me. I have 0 knowledge.

Hopefully the rom tha I chose is ok for porting for my device.

Is the only rom above 4.2.2 that I found for mt6572 and hopefully also will be ok for kernel 3.4.5
