My device is infinix note 7 running Android 10. I followed your tutorial on how to backup using WwR + spft and was able to perform readback of all necessary partitions. But I encountered what seems to be error when I tried to build the firmware. It says... " There is no information about the CPU in the LK partition!!! Something went wrong..."
Although the process was completed when I cut the rom as it is.

I flashed the backup and it bricked my phone. Was stock on infinix logo. I restored it by flashing stock rom I downloaded from yours site. But I had to do a lot of updates before I got to the current version I was trying to backup.

How do I fix this error. I have attached picture.

a forced reboot (i.e holding power button until the device restarts) or a factory reset should fix this.

use the 4th option i.e "enter the platform manually", in your case MT6768

I used the 4th option. Didn't see the error message but still caused bootloop when I flashed it. I noticed that the components files are fewer compared to the stock rom I downloaded that had more files. Also, Spft does not load file called ”super". In the downloaded rom, its super.img and it's loaded in Spft.

did you try factory reset after flashing though?

(19-07-2021, 11:32 PM)okolimark I noticed that the components files are fewer compared to the stock rom I downloaded that had more files.

the files from wwr should contain more files than that from stock firmware, unless you mean when you select the scatter file in spft then it has lesser contents

(19-07-2021, 11:32 PM)okolimark Also, Spft does not load file called ”super". In the downloaded rom, its super.img and it's loaded in Spft.

after auto pilot is done, goto the scatter file tab, you can change the option for "flash" from false to true
then when you're done cutting the rom, you'll need to edit the scatter file and add filenames so spft can pick them up
e.g super partition
filename : super
is_download : true

Should I change everything under the "flash" column to "true"?

Also

How do I do rom dump without including only userdata. Userdata is about 105gb it'll take a lot of time. There are 3 more files (otp, flashinfo and sgpt) under userdata in the table. If my rom length stops at userdata, that means the files below won't be added. How do I leave out only userdata cos of it's Large size.

If you need to flash all items then you can change all to true ot if unsure what to flash, you can change all to true

I thought you already figured this out because your backup is around 6gb, which makes it seem like you skipped userdata and the rest below but if you haven't then follow the instruction @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-22701.html

I skipped userdata and later extracted the files below it one by one and flashed them. Is that ok?

it's fine though you don't necessarily need any of them below to boot the phone
