well when I connect the options available are just mtp, CD ROM and charger only. mass storage isn't listed. I understand that newer phones nowadays don't include the feature. is there a way to reenable?

so the problem isnt that your pc doesnt detect your mass storage, its that you dont see that option on the list?

yeah its only detected as MTP device but can't explore it through mass storage protocol. can't explore SD card.

hope you know your storage automatically gets mounted and detected on your PC when you connect via USB without selecting any connection mode?

Yeah though I would like to explore the SD card the old way via mass storage and not mtp. I use my phone to play content through TV which only reads mass storage protocol and not mtp.
