i took backup in tar.gz format now how to restore it

the app should have a restore function. just copy the tar.gz to the other phone then restore

i took backup in N7000 (note1) and tried to restore in another N7000 but while restoring it ask for backup partition and i am not able to restore efs.

did you copy the backup file(s) from the first N7000 to the other (exact location as in the first) before the restore attempt?

yes i do copy to external sd card also didnt renamed the folder, copied as it is

i see. try using EFS Professional then
ensure to root and install busybox on the phones
