However, with the latest version of the SP Flash tool; I always get Error
'S_DA_SDMMC_WRITE_FAILED (3149)

I have tried on 2 different Windows 7 computers (both 32bit and 64bit); Also performed manual installation of MT VCOM drivers; All with the same error even when trying to flash just the preloader.bin alone

Please help!

thats an sp flash tool problem writing to the phone.
need you to confirm again that the phone is an M3 4.2 Old OS before we proceed with further flashing attempts

Please find attached a ZIP file with 3 photographic images of the device including one with the inner sticker that is labelled tecno M3.
Is there some other way I can identify/verify the O.S. version that was on it?
I definitely remember it was "Android 4.2.2 jelly bean"

Kind regards

you dont understand me.

You said
"I am in possession of a dual sim phone branded tecno M3 that was stuck at boot logo (old Tecno) and now completely fails to respond (no response to power button) after formatting All flash using SP flash tool."

what im referring to is where you said "after formatting All flash using SP flash tool" .
you must've had the file(s) you used before creating this thread. what I want to know is how you got the file(s) .
