I want to download the Infinix Race Bolt Q X451 stock ROM please, because I rooted my phone and I make the mistake of deleting some of the essential apps
I thought it would be ok because I had installed alterative apps: QuickPic to replace the Gallery app, Solid Explorer to replace the default file manager app, ADWLauncher EX instead the default launcher
It was a mistake since the camera do not work without the Gallery app. Wipe data / factory reset did not solve the problem because those system apps are missing.
Thank you in advance.

Backup Is ok

But unable to flash system.img (Android) using Sp flash tool, probably because the driver is not installed correctly,

Finally, I flashed the system.img successfully, in the previous try I missed the step of making windows accept the installation of non-signed drivers. (You can follow this tutorial in French http://www.phonandroid.com/forum/install...97429.html or google it)
open the device manager > connect the phone to the computer > you should see MT65xx Preloader for few seconds, and click on the update drivers, select the right folder > the next time you connect the phone to the computer you should see MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port (COMx) > use the SP Flash tool to flash system.img > reboot into the recovery mode, wipe data/factory reset.

Thanks a lot.

There is no keyboard app! It is highly unfavorable scenario (it is almost impossible to install app, access Wi-Fi, …)
In setting > Language & input > There is no keyboard app!  (Keyboard & input methods is set to default)
An issue but a minor one: the font is curved not the default one
Is there a way to install a keyboard app?
I tried with the command “adb install [app_name].apk” without success

Is it possible to extract system apps and then install them? If so, I will restore my old system.img, apply the downloaded system.img, extract the system apps, and flash with downloaded system.img and wipe data, then install the extracted system apps.

for the keyboard, install Touchpal X @ https://www.hovatek.com/blog/type-faster...ouchpal-x/
you could also go with the approach you suggested

I first executed those commands

Code:

adb remount
adb push ApexLauncher.apk /system/app
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/ApexLauncher.apk
adb push swiftkey.apk /system/app
adb shell chmod 644 /system/app/swiftkey.apk
adb reboot

PS : Rootexplorer installed via the command SuperUser of MtkDroidTools
[Image: FJHjMuv.png]
Swiftkey did not work (bugged)
ApexLauncher worked (great, I have a now a launcher), so launched Rootexplorer, browser to TouchPal X Keyboard.apk install it, was able to type Wi-Fi password, add google account, install apps via google play, then removed with Titanium Backup the swiftkey app from system apps and reinstall it from google play

[Hovatek] Stock Backup (MTK) for Infinix X451.zip is not really a Stock Backup but a modded one,
It was helpful, but it would be better if someone could to out of the box Infinix X451 and made then upload the backup.
How can I restore the backup that I have done using MTK Droid tools?  Because there is no system.img, just a system folder, how can I pack it (MTK Droid tools proposed to do so by I skipped it, as suggested in guide)
Here a guide to Create System.IMG from System Folder - Repack System.IMG (http://www.china-devices.com/topic/998-how-to-create-systemimg-from-system-folder-repack-systemimg/) you need a Linux (or at least a virtual machine), it is time consuming, and maybe I will try it in the weekend.
Is it a good idea to compare the *.apk files from my backup to those in System.IMG in orther to add back apk I delted from backup?

Our X451 backup isnt pure stock, its modded, thats why we put it on hold. only granted you because you were able to make a backup of yours so a rollback would be possible.
system.img was supposed to be a .img not a folder , you should've repeated backup to achieve that.
Here's a work around
since you have a /system folder from your previous backup, flash CWM to your phone using https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-455.html then do a backup in CWM.
next, open the clockworkmod folder in your SD card and locate the backup. your target is the system.ext4.tar file. open it using 7zip then replace its content with that from the backup you made. you can then restore the backup
fix md5 mismatch using  https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-115.html

we'll upload a fresh stock once we get access and re-upload then resume granting to the public
