the closest clue is the manufacture info at the back but that alone isnt too helpful.
in such a case, it'll have to be trial and error flashing

Asked because I've tried flashing an android Tecno P5 with me without any idea of the actual type it is, either old, new or 4.4. I've tried 4.4, didn't work. Tried other rom of a tecno P5 that I borrowed but didn't work also, so am thinking it's either the phone is old or new p5, not 4.4

there's no P5 4.4, only P5 4.2 old and new OS. do you have those 2 and how did you get them?

okay, my bad, thought the [Hovatek] Stock backup (MTK) for Tecno P5 Plus is 4.4 didn't know it's 4.2.
    I have tried the
[Hovatek] Stock backup (MTK) for Tecno P5 Plus
    i got it from you.
Guess i will be needing either the Old Tecno P5 (MTK Backup)or the
    New Tecno P5 (MTK Backup)then.
