Sorry Satin for taking too much time to reply. Concerning the play store "NO CONNECTION " error -in my case- is due to the VPN connection I use. The error message only appears when I use VPN. I have also noticed that posting in forums, logging into Gmail and other social networks become hard for me as a result of play store not working. Please is there anything I can do?

Yes, other apps work fine except sync error which says "sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back soon ".

so its specific to playstore
sign out of the google account (under accounts) then sign in again
copy Phonesky.apk and GoogleServicesFramework.apk from the stock ROM to system/apps
you can also try https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-4082.html

Apart from PureXperia Z2 UI ROM, it's the same with all my ROMs even my stock ROM (Tecno P5). Maybe VPNs don't access Google play on AOSP ROMs. Thanks for your kindness Satin.

Oh! a very important detail I overlooked: it seems to affect apps like WhatsApp , Facebook app and Messenger. Due to ROM switching , I don't really use them but maybe it can serve as a clue.
