[Downloads] ClockworkMod recovery image for Tecno phones by Hovatek

#11

Turn off your phone> hold down the volume increase button > hold down the power button and keep holding down both till the phone boots into recovery mode

@Abdul, the only way you could still have your stock recovery is if you'd made a backup using MTK droid tools first

Thanks for the great efforts.

I can't unlock my Tecno P5 - fastboot reboot-bootloader works fine, so adb is fine, USB driver, etc. But 'fastboot oem unlock' is ignored - ... is displayed in the command window and nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Huge thanks

@technicaltitch, what type of lock are you trying to remove?

Sorry @hovatek, just trying to root the device so I can install your CWM img, and maybe even a custom ROM (like gravitybox).

It isn't working properly. For example sometimes when the screen locks it never turns on again, and sometimes the bar at the top (battery level, charging status, time, etc) stops updating - at the moment it is still showing the time, battery level and charging status of about 9 hours ago even though it has charged, been unplugged, date and time different. Something is broken.

I bought it new and SuperSU can't run (says No SU binary installed) so I don't think so.

What happens if I run 'fastboot flash recovery tecno...223.img' and it isn't rooted - will I brick the phone?

Thank you @hovatek!
